Local search for boiler specialists

When a boiler fails, people search on their phone and call someone from the map. We make sure a boiler specialist appears there in each town it genuinely serves, with a profile and reviews that say boilers.

The map pack is where boiler emergencies are won. Local search work makes a boiler specialist appear, with the right category, real photos and reviews that mention boiler jobs, in each town the company actually serves. It is often the quickest improvement we can make, and it supports everything else on the site.

What this service is

Short answer: Google Business Profile management, town pages, review routines and consistent business details across the web.

Local ranking depends on three broad things: how relevant your profile is to the search, how close you are to the searcher, and how prominent your business looks online. You can't move your office, but you can make relevance and prominence work for you. For a boiler company that means:

  • a profile whose category, services list and description describe heating and boiler work precisely
  • photos of real boiler rooms, real equipment and real vans with the brand on them
  • reviews that mention boilers, combis, radiators or radiant floors in the customer's own words
  • town pages on your site that say something true and useful about working in each place
  • the same name, phone number and service-area description everywhere you are listed

Who it is for

Short answer: any boiler company that is invisible, or inconsistent, in the towns it serves.

It is essential for a new division brand, which starts with no profile history at all, and for established firms whose listings were set up years ago under an old name, an old number or the owner's personal account. It matters most in towns where several general HVAC firms crowd the map and a specialist needs to stand out. It also matters for firms adding a new town: the profile, the town page and the first few reviews from that town need to arrive together, or the expansion stays invisible for months.

What's included

Short answer: a cleanup, a build-out and a monthly routine.

  1. Audit: every listing we can find, with errors and duplicates flagged.
  2. Cleanup: corrections to name, phone, hours and categories, and requests to merge or remove duplicates.
  3. Profile build-out: services, description, service areas, photos and regular posts about real work.
  4. Town pages: one useful page for each regular service town, written with local detail rather than swapped names. See boiler-only websites for how these fit the site.
  5. Review routine: a simple process your office runs after each job, with templates for call, text or email follow-ups.
  6. Monthly reporting: profile views, calls, direction requests and review growth.

Google Business Profile and local SEO are part of every plan, starting with Starter on the pricing page.

Timeline

Short answer: cleanup takes a few weeks; ranking improvements usually build over several months.

Fixing duplicates and errors is quick to do but can take weeks for Google to process. New reviews and town pages build prominence steadily. A brand-new profile for a division typically needs a few months of genuine activity before it competes with established listings.

How results are measured

Short answer: calls and direction requests from the profile, plus map visibility for boiler searches in each town.

We track profile calls, website clicks, how often the profile appears for boiler-related searches, and review count and content over time. The proof that this works for a boiler-only brand is GasBoilers.ca, which reached 5.0★ from 76+ Google reviews across 26+ BC communities.

Mistakes to avoid

Short answer: shortcuts on Google Business Profile tend to backfire badly.

  • Keyword-stuffing the business name. "Smith Boiler Repair Best Combi Installer" breaks Google's guidelines and risks suspension.
  • Fake addresses or virtual offices. Listing a mailbox to appear in a new town can get the profile removed.
  • Gating reviews. Asking only happy customers through a filter, or offering rewards, breaks the rules.
  • One profile for two brands. A boiler division needs its own profile, phone number and identity, as explained on our specialist brand page.

To see which provinces have specific rules that affect your listing and advertising, such as French in Quebec, check the areas hub.

Frequently asked questions

Can a boiler company without a storefront appear on Google Maps?

Yes. Most boiler firms are service-area businesses. Google lets them hide their address and list the areas they serve instead. The profile still needs a real, verifiable business behind it.

How do we get more reviews that mention boilers?

Ask every satisfied customer, soon after the job, with a direct link and a short note asking them to mention what was done. Never pay for reviews, offer rewards for positive ones or write them yourself; that breaks Google's rules and can sink the profile.

Should we list every town in our region?

List the towns you serve regularly and can reach in a reasonable time. Listing every town for a hundred kilometres doesn't help you rank there and annoys customers when you can't come.
